Sheryl Brumer
Chief Executive Officer
As the Chief Executive Officer, Sheryl's role is to shape and implement a long-term vision for the organization by working closely with the board of directors to establish goals that align with the mission and values of the JCC. Her key responsibilities include managing the JCC's financial health through budgeting, fundraising, grant writing, and strategic financial planning. However, Sheryl's favorite part of the job is seeing the children grow and thrive within the facility, participating in programs that span from preschool to sports, aquatics, and summer camp.
Sheryl has been part of the JCC family since 1981, starting her career as the Youth and Teen Program Director. She has had an amazing journey with all of the wonderful people she has met over the years including participants in our programs and events, volunteers, and staff members. Sheryl has watched thousands of kids grow up at the JCC and she feels she grew up right alongside them. Sheryl feels very fortunate to have had the incredible opportunities at the JCC have afforded me over the years. In her words? "What more could a person ask for!"
