Ways to Donate

Did you know that membership and program fees account for only 78% of our operating budget? Your donations raise a large portion of the JCC's Annual fund for financial assistance and to support critical programming such as our daycare, day camp, youth sports and recreation leagues, senior and adult programming and so much more! Last year, the JCC provided over $200,000 in financial assistance to children, teens, and adults.

Donor Recognition Opportunities

There are a few sites at the JCC facility that are available for dedication for families, organizations, and individuals. Each tribute proudly demonstrates how we are preserving our tradition and preparing for the future. Click here for Donor Recognition Opportunities

Campership

Give the gift of camp to a child! The campership award helps provide camp scholarships to children in grades 5 and up who have shown leadership and service in our community. Many children are not able to afford camp as they get older due to higher costs and being too old to receive financial support through social services. Camp JCC gives children a rich, engaging and safe summer with friends and great role models instead of on the streets or left to entertain themselves for 8+ hours a day. Even a small donation can make the difference in the life of a child! For more information on the campership award please contact Camp & Youth Director Nora Graven at (607) 724-2417 or NoraG@binghamtonjcc.org

Honor a Friend or Family Member

Tribute and memorial contributions are a meaningful way to celebrate, honor or memorialize friends and family by making gifts in their name. Gifts may be designated to a particular fund or area at the JCC or you can designate that your gift is used where the need is greatest.

Your gift will be acknowledged by a letter to the individual or family expressing your sentiment and announcing your gift in their honor.

Volunteer

In addition to financial support, we welcome your gift of time. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and your service is one of the richest gifts of all.

Create a Legacy

There are many ways to leave a legacy, and for those who would like their legacy to include a long-term gift to the JCC, there are several options:

Planned Giving: Planned gifts are designed to fit within a donor's comprehensive estate plans, fulfilling the donor's philanthropic goals, reducing income taxes, avoiding capital gains or estate taxes, and retaining lifetime income if desired, all while helping to guarantee the JCC's future financial support. Common forms of planned giving include bequests and charitable gift annuities.

Endowments: A non-profit's endowments represent its permanently held capital. Depending upon the guidelines established for each particular endowment, income and/or principal from the endowment can be used to support the JCC's work. Endowments provide a secure source of long-term support.
